How do I withdraw cryptocurrency using my CryptoExpress mobile application?

  1. Sign into the CryptoExpress app where after you will be taken to the landing page.
  2. Select the crypto currency that you would like to withdraw from the drop down list at the top of the page
  3. Select the amount, in fiat currency, that you would like to withdraw. Either from the list of fast cash amounts or by entering your Own Amount using the Own Amount option.
  4. You will then be offered a crypto-to-fiat currency exchange rate quote, which you will need to accept, to continue with the transaction.
  5. Once the exchange rate has been accepted, you will need to transfer the specified amount of your chosen cryptocurrency from your crypto wallet to the address specified in the CryptoExpress application.
  6. Once we receive your transfer of cryptocurrency, you will receive a 10-digit PIN code which you can use, along with you mobile number, to withdraw cash from the nearest Cash Express ATM.

How do I withdraw my cash from a Cash Express ATM?

  1. Go to your nearest Cash Express ATM and select the CryptoExpress option from the home screen.
  2. Next, select Withdraw Crypto.
  3. Enter your mobile number in the specified format and press ENTER.
  4. Enter your 10-digit withdrawal voucher number that was generated for you through the CryptoExpress application and press ENTER.
  5. Your cash will be dispensed and a receipt for the transaction printed.

Note: If you enter your mobile number and/or 10 –digit voucher number incorrectly, the transaction will not be successful and you will not receive your cash.

How do I transfer cryptocurrency to my CryptoExpress app?

During the process of scheduling a withdrawal through the CryptoExpress app, you will need to transfer the required amount of cryptocurrency from your crypto wallet to the CryptoExpress app.

From your cryptocurrency wallet, you must select the Send Crypto option. You will then be prompted to enter the wallet address to which you want to send your cryptocurrency and the applicable amount. At this point you can manually copy and paste the wallet address and the required amount of chosen cryptocurrency, as specified by the CryptoExpress app, into your cryptocurrency wallet and hit send!

You can also click the “Open in wallet” button within the CryptoExpress app which will open your default wallet on your mobile device and will populate all the information required for the transfer.

Sending of cryptocurrency from your local cryptocurrency wallet to the CryptoExpress app can take up to 30 minutes to complete as the transaction will need to be approved on the blockchain before the cryptocurrency makes its way to the CryptoExpress application.

How do I enable “Crypto Send” from my existing cryptocurrency wallet?

The exact steps to enable crypto send from your cryptocurrency wallet will depend on the specific wallet you are using and you should refer to the website of your wallet provider to get the exact steps applicable to your wallet.

However, in general, the process will involve the following steps:

  • Ensure that you have enough funds in your wallet to cover the transaction fees and the amount you wish to send.
  • Locate the “send” or “withdraw” option in your wallet’s user interface.
  • Enter the CryptoExpress wallet address and the amount (In cryptocurrency) you wish to send. Make sure that you have entered the correct wallet address, as sending funds to the wrong address can result in permanent loss of funds.
  • Review the transaction details, including the amount you are sending.
  • If everything looks correct, click the “send” or “confirm” button to initiate the transaction.
  • Wait for the transaction to be confirmed on the blockchain. Depending on the cryptocurrency you are sending, this may take anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes.
  • Once the transaction has been confirmed, the funds will be sent to the CryptoExpress application and you will receive a notification from the CryptoExpress application.

It is important to keep in mind that cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible, so it is important to double-check all transaction details before sending funds.

Which cryptocurrencies are supported for conversion for withdrawal using my CryptoExpress mobile app?

You will be able to withdraw cash by converting BTC (Bitcoin), ETH (Ethereum), USDT (Tether) and USDT Tron into fiat currency using your Crypto Express mobile app.

Which wallets can I use to send cryptocurrency to the CryptoExpress app?

Any wallets that hold BTC, ETH or USDT (Tron included) and can send these cryptocurrencies out of the wallet, can be used to send cryptocurrency to the CryptoExpress mobile app where they will be converted for withdrawal.

How long will it take for my crypto transfer from my wallet to reflect in my CryptoExpress mobile app?

When you send cryptocurrency to your CryptoExpress app, incoming transfers will appear in the Transactions list in an On Hold state – Cryptocurrency transactions do require multiple confirmations along the blockchain to be considered received. CryptoExpress will however be able to instantly validate the transaction to ensure transfers to the CryptoExpress wallet happen as quickly as possible. Once the cryptocurrency transfer has been completed, you will receive a notification and the transaction will change to Paid in the transaction list – your withdrawal transaction is now available.

Why did I receive an email from CryptoExpress asking me to provide a wallet address for overpayment?

An “overpayment” occurs when you have paid an excess amount of cryptocurrency to CryptoExpress for withdrawal. You will be able to withdraw the requested amount and will be offered a refund for the excess amount.

We cannot send the refund amount directly back to the wallet address as in some cases the address does not represent the customer’s specific address.

We will therefore request a refund address.

Why did I receive an email from CryptoExpress asking me to provide a wallet address for underpayment?

An “underpayment” occurs when you have paid less than the expected amount to CryptoExpress, for withdrawal and as a result, the payment will be returned to you.

We cannot send the refund amount directly back to the wallet address as in some cases the address does not represent the customer’s specific address.

We will therefore request a refund address.

In order to withdraw the requested amount, you will be required to send the exact amount before the expiry time.

Why is the amount of my refund not what I expected?

The refund amount often differs from the expected value, as we deduct the applicable transaction fee from the refunded amount. It is also possible that the exchange rate of the chosen cryptocurrency has changed between the time of your refund and the original payment.

How do I update my account details?

Account details can be updated easily through your profile in the CryptoExpress app. You will be able to:

  • Change your email address.
  • Change your mobile number.

How do I close my CryptoExpress account?

If you have no pending withdrawals associated with your CryptoExpress account then we can close your account for you. You can contact our customer support department from the Help and Support menu within the application and we will close your account. It would also be appreciated if you could provide us with any information on why you have decided to close your account as any feedback does go a long way in helping us improve our service.

What are my transaction limits?

The maximum amount that can be withdrawn from a CryptoExpress enabled Cash Express ATM is R5,000.00. This withdrawal limit is a restriction on the ATM itself and as a result, the maximum withdrawal amount that can be scheduled through the CryptoExpress app is R5,000.00.

What are the Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements in the CryptoExpress application?

Due to the high level of KYC implemented to protect CryptoExpress and its customers from illicit activities, users will be subjected to various levels of ID verification based on their overall withdrawal amounts.

Upon initial registration for the CryptoExpress application, users will be required to supply basic personal identifiable information such as:

  • Full name and Surname.
  • Email Address.
  • Cellphone Number.
  • Gender.
  • Date of birth.

This information is required so as to vet the user against any applicable sanctions lists, as per regulatory requirements.

Once a user’s overall account transaction amount reaches R25,000.00, the user will be prompted to upload a valid identification document.

We support national ID, passport and driving license. The document needs to be in English, Afrikaans, Zulu, Xhosa or Southern Sotho. The file format needs to be JPG, JPEG, PNG or PDF with a maximum file size of 16MB.

What are the identity verification levels?

CryptoExpress implements levels of identity verification which are dependent on your overall transaction amounts.

Level 1

This information is required from all CryptoExpress customers and forms part of the registration process:

  • Full name and Surname.
  • Email Address.
  • Cellphone Number.
  • Gender.
  • Date of birth.
Level 2

Once your overall transaction amount exceeds R25,000.00 you will need to further verify your identity. You will be prompted to verify your identity for level 2 if the current transaction you are performing causes your overall transaction amount to exceed the R25,000.00 limit or if the next transaction your perform would result in exceeding the R25,000.00 limit. Alternatively, you can manually opt to register for level 2 identity verification by selecting Upgrade in the View profile menu.

Level 2 identity verification will require you to upload an image of your national ID, passport or driving license. The document needs to be in English, Afrikaans, Zulu, Xhosa or Southern Sotho and the file format needs to be JPG, JPEG, PNG or PDF with a maximum file size of 16MB.

How do I reset my CryptoExpress account password?

If you have forgotten your password and would like to reset your CryptoExpress account password, you will need to do the following:

  1. Click “Forgot password” on the app log in screen.
  2. Enter the email address, associated with your CryptoExpress account, in the allocated space.
  3. You will then receive a One Time PIN (OTP) on your mobile phone.
  4. You will enter the OTP, your new password and confirmation of your new password in the allocated space provided in the app.

What is the Transactions tab?

The Transactions tab, which you can access from the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen, will display a list of all your CryptoExpress transactions and their associated transaction statuses.

All transactions performed on the CryptoExpress platform are secured with the highest levels of encryption to protect your personal and financial information.

If you notice an error in your transaction history, please contact customer support immediately, via email or telephonically, for assistance.

Your transaction history is updated near real-time so you can expect to see the latest transaction status as soon as they are updated.

What is the ATM Locator tab?

The ATM Locator tab, which you can access from the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen, will display a map indicating the nearest 10 Cash Express ATMs, to your position, from which you can withdraw your cash.

How do I withdraw cryptocurrency using my CryptoExpress mobile application?

  1. Sign into the CryptoExpress app where after you will be taken to the landing page.
  2. Select the cryptocurrency that you would like to withdraw from the drop down list at the top of the page
  3. Select the amount, in fiat currency, that you would like to withdraw. Either from the list of fast cash amounts or by entering your own amount using the Own Amount option.
  4. You will then be presented with a crypto-to-fiat currency exchange rate quote, which you will need to accept, to continue with the transaction
  5.   6. Once your transfer of cryptocurrency is received in the CryptoExpress app, you will receive a 10-digit withdrawal voucher number which you can use, along with your mobile number, to withdraw cash from the nearest CashExpress ATM

How do I withdraw my cash from a Cash Express ATM?

  1. Go to your nearest Cash Express ATM and select the CryptoExpress option from the home screen
  2. Then select Withdraw Crypto
  3. Enter your mobile number in the specified format and press ENTER
  4. Enter your 10-digit withdrawal voucher number that was generated for you through the CryptoExpress app and press ENTER

Each crypto provider has a different crypto wallet and as such, the process for sending cryptocurrencies may vary from wallet to wallet depending on the provider however, the fundamental information required to send crypto currency is uniform across the board. Therefore, from your cryptocurrency wallet, you must select the Send Crypto option. You will then be prompted to enter the wallet address to which you want to send your cryptocurrency and the applicable amount. At this point you can manually copy and paste the wallet address and the required amount of your selected cryptocurrency, as specified by the CryptoExpress app, into your cryptocurrency wallet and hit send!

You can also click the “Open in wallet” button within the CryptoExpress app which, if you use Binance, Luno or VALR as your default crypto wallet, will open your default wallet on your mobile device and will populate all the information required for the transfer.

Once a user’s overall account transaction amount reaches R15,000.00, the user will be prompted to register for level 2 user verification. This involves uploading a self-portrait photograph, taken within the app, and a valid identification document.
